10th STON FESTIVAL OF SALT
From 27 to 30 August, Ston once again celebrates its salt, centuries-old traditions and unique cultural heritage!
The festival brings a varied programme for all generations, including guided tours of the Ston Saltworks and the town, fleur de sel harvesting, a gastro workshop, exhibitions, children’s activities, Pelješac wine tastings, concerts and a charity lantern-lighting event.
FRIDAY, 28 AUGUST
Ston Saltworks and Kaštio Fortress
Enjoy a guided tour, salt harvesting, the opening of the “Salt of Wisdom” exhibition and the Wine, Jazz & Salt Night, featuring selected Pelješac wines and a concert by Sara & Jappa.
SATURDAY, 29 AUGUST
Ston Saltworks, Salt Warehouse and Kaštio Fortress
The programme includes a gastro workshop by Jadranka Ničetić, the opening of the “Trace in Salt” exhibition and Sol x Sonic – where salt meets sound.
SUNDAY, 30 AUGUST
Ston Saltworks and Arcimun Tower
Children can enjoy a STEAM workshop and theatre performance, followed by the charity lantern-lighting event “Let’s Light Up the Light of Kindness Together” and a concert by Klapa Cambi.
The Eco Market will be held at King Tomislav Square from 27 to 30 August, daily from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00.
From 27 August to 13 September, visitors can also enjoy special offers at participating restaurants and wineries in Ston and across Pelješac.
The festival programme concludes on 11 and 12 September with the symposium “Cultural Landscapes of Adriatic Saltworks: Heritage, Community and the Future”.
